Yes. Kalma Pet can be administered to animals such as dogs, cats, birds and horses. Events such as a change in routine, moving house, construction work, travel, veterinary visits, or social interactions can all cause stress in animals.

When a stressful event is known and predictable, it is recommended to administer Kalma Pet a few days beforehand. It can be administered either in the morning or evening, with effectiveness observed in both cases.

Depending on the level of stress and the animal's personality, improvements in stress symptoms can be seen within 3 to 10 days for the most stressed animals. Daily administration at the recommended dose should be maintained to achieve and sustain results. Kalma Pet can be stopped once the stressful event has passed, or in chronic cases it can be administered for 1 month before seeking a second veterinary opinion.

Kalma Pet can be administered to puppies and kittens, as well as pregnant or lactating queens and bitches. It can also be given to senior cats and dogs.

At recommended doses, Kalma Pet poses no health risk according to the product FAQ. It does not cause addiction, sedation, drowsiness or memory loss, and it does not impair attention or alertness. Thanks to the absence of amnesia, pets can learn to adapt to repetitive stressful situations.

Kalma Pet poses no risk of intolerance due to its low lactose content.

In horses, Kalma Pet is especially recommended to help manage acute stressful situations such as training, competitions, transport, clipping and shoeing; changes in environment or lifestyle such as stall confinement, rider, caretaker or companion; and learning situations such as breaking in, starting jumping, loading or overcoming phobias. However, it is not recommended for chronic anxiety conditions such as cribbing.

Kalma Pet can be combined with behavioral therapy but is not a medication. It cannot replace medical treatment prescribed for anxiety or depressive disorders. In practice, some veterinarians use Kalma Pet during the weaning of anxiolytics.

For dogs and cats, give 1 capsule for every 5–10 kg of body weight, once daily or as needed, based on the product label.
